well, gena really turned up the heat this last few weeks. she took the kitchen by storm making cookies for neighbors like a cooking bandit... bandit? hmm, whatever...

out for a walk

well, it was 11 degrees so we thought it had warmed up enough to go out for a walk. time to bundle up everyone. 

wood floor

we had a bit of wood floor put in by our back door. samuel, like his big bro, wanted to help at any opportunity. 

the quad

we found another use for the quad. tie ians sled to it and pull him around the yard and neighborhood. 

gingerbread house

well, i think it is a mandatory activity at Christmas time. gena and ian nailed a good one. here they are hard at it.

 

hawaii in december

we were able to get back to hawaii this winter. WITHOUT THE BOYS. THANK YOU mom and dad caston. that was incredible...

well, samuel is the polar opposite of his big bro. samuel is mr. take arisk. get hurt. crash into stuff. yell. here is an example. (he stood and fell off right after i took the picture)

buying a new toilet

well, it was 7pm and there were about 4 other people in Home Depot. maybe that is because it was ZERO outside. 

anyways, we were in a hurry so we had to get a Nascar cart. boy did that help!!!

is much different than California. here you buy a $5 permit and drive into the woods and cut one down. here we are on our maiden trip: 

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas lights in the snow

so, i put up SOME Christmas lights in a blizzard a week ago. wasn't that a ball.

wow, been snowing for about a week straight and i think we are forecast to snow all they way through Christmas...
